Deuce Hogan was hand-selected as one of only three quarterbacks in America profiled for Season 4 of the acclaimed Peter Berg documentary series. His two co-stars are now NFL starters.
Coached by his father, Kris Hogan, at Faith Christian School. Four-year letter winner. All-state and all-district honors as a senior. Chose Iowa over offers from Tennessee, Georgia, Baylor, Boston College, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Louisiana Tech and others.
Signed as a 4-star recruit. Redshirted in 2020; saw game action in 2021. Earned the Hawkeye Team Leader Award — recognized for leadership among all Hawkeye players.
Chose Kentucky for the pro-style NFL offense. Backed up Will Levis (2022, Tennessee Titans) and Devin Leary (2023, Eagles/Chiefs) — two consecutive NFL QBs. Daily SEC-level reps, film, and coaching. Completed 6-of-7 in the bowl game.
Expected to be the starter. Broken collarbone in Week 3 Season Ended — injury occurred before he could fully establish himself. No indication of performance issues; purely circumstantial.

Over three seasons and dozens of camps, Deuce has served as a passing coach at summer programs across the country — including the Manning Passing Academy. He has worked alongside Jeff Christensen — former NFL quarterback (Bengals, Rams, Eagles, Browns, Jets, Broncos) and founder of Throw It Deep, the trainer credited with developing Patrick Mahomes, Baker Mayfield, and Trey Lance — developing quarterbacks at all levels.
